Motion Types and Application Examples

Display of Motion types of Handex Drives

SERVOCAMDRIVE & ROLLER DRIVE
▶ SERVOCAMDRIVE & Roller Drive are reducer type indexing drives that are suitable for machineries and equipment requiring high out torque and zero-backlash.
▶ It consists of roller gear cam and cam follower bearings, which yield high efficiency.
▶ It can be used without number of stops limitation.
Backlash Accuracy Applied product models
Less than 3 arc.min. CFR, CSR, CTR, CAR, CRR
Less than 1 arc.min RA
Zero-backlash RB, RC, RH, RE

OSCILLATING DRIVE
▶ Oscillating drive is a device that yields reciprocating rotation movement with a certain angle.
▶ Its movement patterns can be selected by various timing charts.
▶ It consists of roller gear cam and cam follower bearings, which yield high efficiency and less backlash.
▶ It can be connected with rectilinear movement devices by using oscillating arms.
▶ It uses MS curve that makes its movement smooth.
Applied product models
EF, ES, EU

INDEXING OR OSCILLATING AND UP/DOWN DRIVE
▶ The output shaft generates 2-dimensional movements, rotation and up & down movement.
▶ It can be used as one of pick & place parts handling devices.
▶ It consists of roller gear cam and common grooved cam, of which combination yield diversified movements for various applications.
Applied product models
CHT, FNH, FHH

PICK & PLACE UNIT DRIVE
▶ The pick & place unit, combined with automated machineries and equipment, is a parts handling device with high accurate movement working well even at faster speed than at the speed hydraulic or pneumatic device provide. (Repeatability of movement: 0.02mm).
▶ Adopted two linear guide, it can be installed in a smaller space.
▶ It has a longer stroke than oscillating index drives, and generates complex patterns of movements. (Up-and-down Stroke: 65 mm, Back-and-forth Stroke: 200 mm)
▶ It has a compact and smaller housing so that it can be extensively used for automation equipment and assembling lines.
Applied product models
PP

INDEXING DRIVE
▶ The common index drives generate its intermittent movement shown to the left.
▶ It boasts its high accurate repeatability and indexing accuracy, and is applicable for various machineries and devices for automation.
▶ It utilizes diversified cams such as roller gear cam, parallel cam or barrel cam, and different cam curves can be adopted for particular movements.
Applied product models
CF, CS, CFS, CT, CA, CP, CU, CR, BVR, BFR

MULPIPLE INDEXING DRIVE
▶ The multiple indexing drives are able to yield the non-integer number of stops such as 4.5 stops or 5.5 stops by using odd numbers of stops such as 9 stops or 11 stops.
▶ The indexing drive with 4.5 stops or 5.5 stops can be used for the equipment or machineries that require two kinds of works in one device.
▶ It gives the same efficiency as two index drives applied.
Applied product models
CF, CS, CFS, CT, CA, CU
