Mechanism

The index drive is a mechanism that converts motion into an optimal movement by transferring the motion analyzed kinematically along the motion curve of the cam attached to the input shaft to the cam follower bearing attached to the output shaft. When the input shaft rotates at a constant speed, the output shaft repeatedly performs a sequence of rotation by a predetermined angle and stopping motion. Index drives are categorized into various types depending on their purpose and application. Among cam-type index drives, they are classified into the roller gear cam type, barrel cam type, and parallel cam type.

Torque Limiter [Index Drive Protection Device] The Cam Type Index Drive features a high degree of division and stable motion characteristics. It is designed with a high-rigidity structure that eliminates backlash and is typically mounted at the center of general machinery. To protect this critical mechanism, the Torque Limiter was developed. The torque limiter is attached to the output of the Index Drive to safeguard it from excessive load.
