SERVOCAMDRIVE® provides high-quality motion performance faithful to input control commands due to its ZERO-BACKLASH CAM TECHNOLOGY. In FA systems, motion control using a servo system is a critical factor in maximizing device performance. The specifications and performance of the device are configured to achieve the desired motion; however, issues such as backlash in the motion control system, lack of rigidity, and instability in control can make it difficult to execute output motions as per the input control commands, making it challenging to achieve the expected performance.

SERVOCAMDRIVE® mechanically reduces the servo motor’s speed to achieve torque rigidity and stability, while simultaneously eliminating backlash through its proprietary preload mechanism, allowing for output motion that faithfully follows the input control commands. Furthermore, it features an innovative design for FA motion control units, including high-efficiency wear reduction, a compact size enabled by the orthogonal layout of the input shaft, and compatibility with large-diameter hollow shaft standard equipment.

SERVOCAMDRIVE® & Roller Drive Characteristics

  • SERVOCAMDRIVE or Roller Drive is a type of reducer drive that is suitable for machinery requiring high output, with little to no backlash.
  • Composed of roller gear cams and cam follower bearings, it offers excellent efficiency, and since it uses a rolling contact mechanism, there is no wear.
  • Can be used regardless of the number of stop positions.
